Highgate is the world’s oldest ostrich show farm. Here you will learn more about the world’s largest living species of bird that is native to Africa. Pop in to The Pepper Tree Restaurant which serves fine local cuisine, and gourmet coffee. 

De Krans Wines is situated along the upper reaches of the picturesque Gamka River Valley near Calitzdorp in the Klein Karoo and dates back to 1890.  The cellar has won more than 600 medals and awards since 1980 and is widely regarded as one of the best and most innovative port-style producers in South Africa.

 The H.O.P.E. Foundation focuses most of its conservation initiatives on projects within the Swartberg Mountains where our conservation programmes ensure that this (UNESCO) World Heritage Site is appreciated by our current generation and preserved for future generations.
